Co-Founder & Lead Clinical Research Coordinator
Karen leads Sayo's clinical coordination and the contact with those who take part in studies: the operational heart of every protocol at the site. A Chemist, Bacteriologist and Parasitologist (QBP) with additional training in hematology and pharmacy, she holds current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification. She brings verifiable experience as a clinical research coordinator on Phase III and Phase IV trials across oncology, immune-inflammatory, infectious, and metabolic conditions, in coordination, pharmacy, and sample-collection roles.

David Gallegos
Co-Founder & Operations Manager
David leads Sayo's operations and sponsor relationships. He brings over a decade of international experience, across Europe and the United States, within strict regulatory and documentation frameworks —including data protection under standards such as Europe's GDPR— now applied to GCP and COFEPRIS. He works fluently in both Spanish and English and holds current GCP certification.

Anchors Sayo's immune-inflammatory diseases area with her specialty in dermatology. A physician (Médico Cirujano) specialized in Dermatology, with additional training in hair and nail disorders, clinical dermatology, and aesthetic dermatology. She brings experience as a sub-investigator on Phase III clinical trials. Current GCP certification.

A rheumatologist trained at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiología “Ignacio Chávez” in Mexico City, after specializing in Internal Medicine at the Hospital Central Universitario in Chihuahua. He holds current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification and has served as Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator in Phase III rheumatology clinical trials.

A board-certified internist and infectious disease specialist, trained at the Hospital Central Universitario del Estado de Chihuahua and at the Antiguo Hospital Civil de Guadalajara “Fray Antonio Alcalde,” where he served as Chief Resident in both specialties. His practice centers on the management of complex infections, antimicrobial resistance, and antimicrobial stewardship programs, with an evidence-based approach and active clinical teaching. Current GCP certification.
